Roger• Stanke appeared before the Council and pr~esented a petition
Impr•ovement requesting the improvement of Ryan Drive. Stanke r•eported that ther•e
Petition ar•e sever•e bumps in the road in some sections which make it almost
impassable. Stanke repor•ted that dr•iver~s are using portions of his
Agenda proper~ty as a road to avoid the bumps in Ryan Dr•ive. Stanke also
Item No. 6 reported that ther•e have been sever•al accidents on the r•oad due to
its condition. Stanke stated that he is awar•e that it is late in the
constr•uction season and asked if an over~lay cannot be done until
spr•ing, if the bumps in the road could be ground down this fall with
the overlay done later.
It was pointed out that while the road is a public r•oad, the City has
never accepted the road due to the soils on which the road was constructed.
The Engineer estimated that the r~oad was constr•ucted on 40 feet of peat.
Fahey stated that if any improvement were made to the road, those
improvements should be assessed against the benefited pr•operty owner•s.
Page -12-
