MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October 26, 1988 <br />Yaggy RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-465 - APPROVING <br />Colby THE CONTRACT SUBP4ITTED BY YAGGY, COLBY <br />(Cont.l ASSOCIATES FOR A PIARKETING STUDY OF <br />THE COUNTRY DRIVE AREA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This r~esolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 480. <br />Yaggy Colby indicated that they will make a presentation of their• study <br />to the Economic Development Committee as well as the City Council. <br />Fahey suggested that the issue of the Rice Street study be discussed <br />further with the Economic Development Committee. <br />Round Lake Mr. Jay McNabb, attor•ney r•epr•esenting r•esidents of the Round Lake Tr~ail <br />Tr•ail Townhomes, appear•ed befor•e the Council and repor•ted that since the last <br />Townhomes Council meeting at which the concer•ns of the r•esidents of the townhomes <br />was discussed, and at which time the Council declared that no occupancy <br />Agenda permits would be issued until these concer•ns are r•esolved, a new tenant <br />Addition has been moved into one of the townhome units. <br />The City Cler•k reported that P1r. Schr•ier has now submitted a letter of <br />credit to the City in the amount of $11,000 for completion of the <br />landscaping wor•k at the townhomes. <br />Collova reported that the Building Inspector• has discussed the situation <br />with Mr. Schrier who assured him that the landscaping will be completed. <br />Collova reported that today ther•e was a landscaping firm at the townhomes <br />beginning the work. Collova r~eported that Schrier• indicated that the <br />landscaping will be completed this fall. <br />Fahey asked if in view of the landscaping work pr•oceeding and in view of <br />the letter~ of credit which the City now has, if the r•esidents of the <br />townhomes want the City to evict the resident who moved in without an <br />occupancy permit. <br />McNabb agr~eed that this r~esident was an innocent party. However, the <br />greater concern is the lack of action by Mr•. Schrier. McNabb also <br />pointed out that a full r~eport was to have been obtained on the condition <br />of the r~etaining wall, and the DNR and Watershed have indicated that no <br />r•eport has been requested by the City. <br />McNabb also reported that ther~e are people scheduled to move into the <br />townhomes on November lst, and it was his opinion that the landscaping <br />would not be completed by November lst. <br />page -15- <br />
