MINUTES City Council October~ 26, 1988 Spr•inkling The foregoing r~esolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Fahey. Of City Ayes (5) Blesener•, Fahey, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. Garage Nays (0). (Cont.) Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 487. Car~la Lane The Council reviewed the letter received from Dr~. and Mr•s. Skibsted Overlay stating that they were opposed to the cost of the Car~la Lane impr•ovement. Impr•ovement The Council noted that wor•k on the improvement has already begun. Agenda The Council also discussed the fact that the City Fngineer or•iginally Addition estimated the cost of the improvement at $1,100 per lot, which was later~ increased to $1,500 per• lot when bids were received. However, the City Cler•k sent Carla Lane r•esidents a letter stating that the cost of the improvement could be as high as $2,000 per~ lot. The Engineer• pointed out that the improvement should be completed in about a week, and the actual cost will be known at that time. Mr. Collova introduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-473 - AUTHORIZING TNE CITY CLERK TO SEND A LETTER TO THE CARLA LANE PROPERTY OWNERS ONCE THE FINAL COST OF THE PROJECT IS KNOWN INFORMING THEM OF TNIS COST The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, Fahey, Blesener, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declar~ed adopted. This r•esolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 488. Little Scalze repor~ted that she and Mr•. Collova met with repr~esentativ ~ of the Canada School Distr•ict on their• plans for the expansion of the Little Canada School Elementar•y School. It was requested that the City par•ticipate in the Expansion cost of a new par~king lot on the west side of the building, which could be connected to the existing par•king lot in Spooner~ Par•k. Scalze Agenda suggested that the City Engineer look at the building expansion plans Item No. 14 to determine if such an effort would be feasible. Fahey reported that Dr•. Worner~ has invited him to a br•eakfast meeting to discuss the school expansion. Fahey suggested that since he and Mr. Collova have been working with the School District on this issue, that Mr. Collova attend the meeting as well. If Council action is needed, Fahey suggested that a special Council meeting could be called. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Page -24-
