MINUTES <br />City Council <br />October~ 26, 1988 <br />Spr•inkling The foregoing r~esolution was duly seconded by Mr•. Fahey. <br />Of City Ayes (5) Blesener•, Fahey, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Garage Nays (0). <br />(Cont.) Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appear~s in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 487. <br />Car~la Lane The Council reviewed the letter received from Dr~. and Mr•s. Skibsted <br />Overlay stating that they were opposed to the cost of the Car~la Lane impr•ovement. <br />Impr•ovement The Council noted that wor•k on the improvement has already begun. <br />Agenda The Council also discussed the fact that the City Fngineer or•iginally <br />Addition estimated the cost of the improvement at $1,100 per lot, which was <br />later~ increased to $1,500 per• lot when bids were received. However, <br />the City Cler•k sent Carla Lane r•esidents a letter stating that the <br />cost of the improvement could be as high as $2,000 per~ lot. <br />The Engineer• pointed out that the improvement should be completed in about <br />a week, and the actual cost will be known at that time. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following r~esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 88-10-473 - AUTHORIZING TNE <br />CITY CLERK TO SEND A LETTER TO THE CARLA LANE <br />PROPERTY OWNERS ONCE THE FINAL COST OF THE <br />PROJECT IS KNOWN INFORMING THEM OF TNIS COST <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Scalze, Fahey, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar~ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 488. <br />Little Scalze repor~ted that she and Mr•. Collova met with repr~esentativ ~ of the <br />Canada School Distr•ict on their• plans for the expansion of the Little Canada <br />School Elementar•y School. It was requested that the City par•ticipate in the <br />Expansion cost of a new par~king lot on the west side of the building, which <br />could be connected to the existing par•king lot in Spooner~ Par•k. Scalze <br />Agenda suggested that the City Engineer look at the building expansion plans <br />Item No. 14 to determine if such an effort would be feasible. <br />Fahey reported that Dr•. Worner~ has invited him to a br•eakfast meeting <br />to discuss the school expansion. Fahey suggested that since he and <br />Mr. Collova have been working with the School District on this issue, <br />that Mr. Collova attend the meeting as well. If Council action is <br />needed, Fahey suggested that a special Council meeting could be called. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Page -24- <br />
