Fahey stated that based on the <br />Policy past number of after-hours calls, he did not believe ther•e was a need. <br />(Cont.) <br />Mr. Fahey intr~oduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIOPI N0. 88-11-497 - ADOPTING A CALL- <br />QACK POLICY WHICH RESERVES TNE CITY'S RIGHT <br />TO CALL fiACK EMPLOYEES BEFORE OR AFTER NORMAL <br />WORK DAY HOURS OR WORK WEEK, AND IF AN <br />EMPLOYEE IS CALLED [iACK, THAT EMPLOYEE WILL <br />RECEIVE A MINIMUP4 OF TWO HOURS COP9PENSATION <br />AT THE TIME AND ONE-HALF R~TE FOR EACH It~ICIDENT, <br />EXCLUDING DUTIES RFLATED TO SNO!dPLOWING OR CALLS <br />WNICH DO PJOT REQUIRE IMPIEDIATE ACTION <br />The foregoing r~esolution was duly seconded by Mr. LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener•. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 20, Page 532. <br />Audio P4r. Bill Bruce reported that he has requested quotations fr~om thr•ee <br />Visual different companies for audio-visual aids in broadcasting Council <br />Aids meetings on Cable TV. Two quotations were received, which Br~uce <br />reviewed in detail with the Council. <br />Agenda <br />Addition Council discussed the variety of micr~ophones which iuer•e available and <br />which would best serve the needs of the Council. It was the concensus <br />of the Council that lapel-type microphones be pur~chased for~ Council <br />members with remaining staff to have table-top microphones. If possible, <br />the Council also requested on/off switches on their• micr~ophones. <br />Br•uce r•epor~ted that the bid includes suspending a couple of microphones <br />from the ceiling to pick up comments from the general public. However, <br />Council felt that it was more pr•efer•able to have speaker•s from the <br />general public addr•ess the Council from the podium. <br />Rather• than eliminate these microphones from the bid, Dr•uce requested <br />that the City pur~chase them pointina out that they can be used when <br />broadcasting candidates' meetings and other• functions. <br />Council agreed. <br />Br•uce anticipated that the new microphone system would be in place by <br />the first of the year. <br />Mr~.
