f~1INUTES <br />City Council <br />December 14, 1988 <br />Amoco Mr. Richarc~ Peterson, Area "lanager for Amoco Pipeline, reported that Amoco <br />Pipeline is in the pr~ocess of negotiating with the mobilehome park owner• to r•elocate <br />(cont.l the line. Fl meeting with the owner• has been scheduled for• the fir~st week <br />in January, and from that point Amoco will proceed. to resolve the sitiaation. <br />Blesener• asked the pressure af the line. <br />Peterson replied that the line is cur~rently under• 100 psi. However~, the <br />dir•ection of flow will be changec! and the pr•?ssure in the line will be <br />increased to 700 or~ 800 psi. The line is designed to handle 1,440 psi. <br />Peter•son r~eported that both an inter•nal and exter~nal survey of the line <br />has been tl.one, and no problems were found. <br />Blesener• asked if it is Amoco's intention to la,y a new line in a safer~ <br />location and shut down the existing line. <br />Peterson replied that that would be the most desirable situation. <br />Fahey requested that the City Council be kept advised of the situation. <br />Peter•son r•eported that Amoco was aware of the situation pr~ior to it being <br />br•ought to the Council's attention, and has been working towar~ds a solution. <br />A resident of the par~k asked the c~epth of the line. <br />Peter~son r•eplied that these types of lines ar•e usually 3 feet below the <br />surface, however, it is his understanding that the property owner brouaht <br />some fill in when constr~ucting the park, and the line iander• the mobilehomes <br />may be 4 to 5 feet below the sur•face. <br />St. Joseph's The City Council has received an application for renewal of the St. Joseph's <br />Society Society gambling license to sell pull tabs at. the Venetian Inn.
