M,INUTES City Council Dec. 14, 1988 Or~gani zed Collection Agend.a Item No. 8 The City Cler•k r•eported that no additional information has been r~eceived from the City's tr•ash hauler•s r~egar•ding or~ganized collection from what was presented at the last meeting. The Clerk reported that the Recycling Committee is not preparec! to conduct a public hear•ing on the matter as was scheduled for• Januar•y 28th. Blesener~ pointed out that the City has a minimum of 90 days in which to review the matter, and suggested that the public hear~ing be postponed until after the first of the year•. P4r~. Fahey introd.uced the following resolution and moved its adoption: P.ESOLUTION N0. 88-12-530 - CANCELLING TNE PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 28TH TO DISCUSS ORGANIZED GARBAGE COLLECTION IdITHIN THE CITY AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVISE THE HAULERS OF THIS ACTIOM, WITH THE PUBLIC HEARING TO BE RESCHEDULED AT THE RECOMMENDATION OF TNE RECYCLING COMP9ITTEE Little Canada Road/ Centerville Road Intersection Agenda Item No. 9 Australian Storm Sewer Impr•ovement Agend.a Item No. lOd The for•egoi ng r•esol uti on was duly seconded by Mr~. Bl esener•. Ayes (41 Fahey, Blesener, LaValle, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appear•s in Resolution Bok No. 20, Page 567. The City Engineer r~eviewed his repor•t dated December 8, 1988 regar•ding the pr~oposed Conoco development at the intersection of Little Canada Road and Centerville Road. The City Engineer r•epor•ted that the County agrees with his position on the matter•. The City Clerk reported that the City Planner will not be ready with his repor•t by the December• 28th meeting, and Council r•escheduled the matter• for• the Council's second meeting in Januar•y. The City Engineer r•eported that Mr•. and Mrs. Marsh are r•equesting that the proposed stor•m sewer• pipe to be installed adjacent to their~ property be extend.ed an additional 80 feet. The Engineer• estimated that the additional cost for extend.ing the pipe wou1d be approximately $2,500. The Engineer also pointed out that additional easement would be necessary. Blesener suggested that the additional easement be obtained, and that the Council r•ebid the project. LaValle agreed, and stated that he would be mor•e comfor~table if the pr•oject was rebid due to the additional costs involved. Fahey stated that it was his opinion that if the easements cannot be obtained at no cost to the City, he does not want to go for~warc! with the project.
