EMERGENCY PROCEDURES PLAN SUBMITTED TO THE <br /> CITY ON DECEMI3FR I, 19II8 BY THE NORTH STAR <br /> MOf3ILEHOME PARK IS I~IADEQUATE BASED OPd THE <br /> EMERGENCY SERVICES COMMITTEE REPORT DATED <br /> DECEP9aFR 28, 1988 DUE TO SITE DISTANCES FROM <br /> THE MOBILEHOME PARK TO SHELTFR AREAS DUE TO <br /> T00 MANY STOP LIGHTS, AND INADFQUATE PARKING <br /> AT THE SHELTER SITES, AND BASED ON THE FACT <br /> THFlT THE CITY COUNCIL DOES NOT FEEL THE PLAN <br /> PROVIDFS ADFQUATE PP,OTECTION IN THF FVENT OF <br /> A DISASTER FOR THF RESIDENTS OF THF MOBILEHOME <br /> PARK <br />The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by P1r. [3lesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appear•s in Resolution Book No. 21, Page 10. <br />Fahey r•eportec! that the matter• will be placecl on the agenda of the <br />Council when a new plan is submitted by the park owners or upon <br />request of the park owners. If an acceptable plan is not received <br />by March lst, the State Health Depar~tment and Count.y Attor•ney will <br />be notified. <br />P,ecess At this point in the meeting, 8:47 P.M., Council took a shor~t r•ecess. <br /> The mzeting was reconvened at 8:55 P.M. <br />School The City Engineer submitted a feasibility r~epor•t on the par~king lot <br />Property improvement for• the Little Canada Elementar•y School. <br />Feasibility <br />Report <br />John Thein, r•epr~esenting the School District, reported that constr~uction <br /> plans for the school addition are proceeding well and in the final <br />Agenda stages. Funding for the pr~oject has been arr•anged and the District <br />10 <br />Item PJo is anticipating taking bids sometime in Februar~y. Occupancy for the <br />. site is planned for next fall. Funding is tied to the sale of Spooner• <br /> Par~k, ~lorth Heights site and Lexington building. <br /> Fahey asked if the School Boar•d has acted on the Cit,y's pr•oposal to <br /> participate in the addition. <br /> Thein stated that he anticipated no pr•oblem, and suggested that he <br /> wor•k with the City Clerk, P~ayor•, City Attor•ney and Roger• lJorner• on <br /> the details of the participation agreement. <br /> The City Clerk reported that such an agreement has been drawn up by <br />Page -10- <br />
