Fahey pointed <br />Agenda out that the reason that this Ordinance is being pr•oposed, is that <br />Item No. 8 this section of Ordinance is largely ignor•ed and not enfor~ced. <br />Scalze suggested that if the Ordinance is being ignored, perhaps it <br />should just remain pointing out that there ma,y be a cir•cumstance wher~e <br />it is needed. Scalze pointed out the situation of the billboar•d on <br />High4~ay 36. <br />The City Pldnner pointed out that if the City r•equires this billboar~d <br />to be removed, the City may have to pay the owner•s to take down the <br />billboar•d. <br />The City Clerk reported that PRN DOT may refund for the elimination of <br />billboards. <br />The Council suggested that action on the Ordinance be tabled for• 30 days <br />to give the City Cler~k an opportunity to r•esearch whether or not MN DOT <br />would pay for the elimination of the billboard on Highwa,y 35. <br />Mr. Blesener introd.uced the following resolution and. moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION D10. 89-1-32 - TFlBLING ACTION ON <br />PROPOSFD ORDINAPICE N0. 311 FOR 30 DAYS IN <br />ORDER TO GIVE THE CITY CLERK THE OPPORTUNITY <br />TO INV~STI6ATE WITH MN DOT THE SU6JECT OF <br />COMPENSATION FOR THE FLIMINATION OF BILLBOARDS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declar•ed adopted. <br />This r•esolution appears in Resolution Book No. 21, Page 34. <br />Rezoning Fahey repor•ted that the Planning Commission recommended appr~oval of <br />Frank Frank Fr•attalone's request to rezone his proper~ty on Spr•iace Str•eet <br />Frattalone fr•om I-P to I-1 leaving the 253 foot depth of pr~operty on South Owasso <br />Pr•oper•ty zoned I-P. <br />Agenda Fr•ank Fr•attalone appear•ed before the Council and submitted a site plan <br />Item No. 10 showing the r•ezoning request as he has pr•oposed. <br />Page -11- <br />
