MINUTES <br />City Council <br />April 26, 1989 <br />Mr•. Blesener• intr•oduced the following r•esolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-4-160 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />PLANNER TO WORK WITH THF DEVELOPFR ON A TAX <br />INCRf_MENT FINANCING PROPOSAL FOR THIS DEVELOPMENT <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) alesener, Scalze, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Scalze suqgested that the City Engineer• be instr~ucted to review the dr~ainage <br />and stor~m sewer~ i ssues . <br />The City Cler~k pointed out that this is part of the procedure r~equir•ed for• <br />the final plat. <br />Fahey pointed out that a var~iance is necessar~y for the lenqth of the cul-de-sac <br />pr•oposed, but suqqested that the variance issue be addr•essed at the time the <br />final plat is pr•esented. Fahey instr•ucted the City Cler•k to send another <br />notice to the adjacent property owner•s at the time the final plat is pr•esented <br />to the Council. Fahey pointed out that the TIF proposal will have to be <br />looked at fir•st to determine if the project is financially feasible. <br />The City Planner• r•epor•ted that once a TIF proposal is developed, the City <br />must qive the County and School District 30 days to review it befor~e it <br />can take action at a public hear~ing. <br />Recess At this point in the meeting, the Council took a shor•t recess. The meeting <br />was then r•econvened. <br />Nor•th The Ci ty has r~ecei ved an appl i cati on for• r~enewal of the bi nqo 1 i cense for• the <br />Suburban Nor•th Subur•ban Youth Association. <br />Youth <br />Binqo Blesener and Collova commented on the application with Blesener indicating <br />~ that he had no pr•oblems with it and Collova statinq that the Association has <br />done some fine things with the money they have collected, spr•eadinq it around <br />the ar•ea. <br />Bob Matson, repr•esentina the Association, stated that they have tried to <br />truly represent the north suburban area and have tried to treat everyone <br />equally. <br />Matson pr•esented the C,ity Cler~k with a check repr~esentinq a donation to the <br />City as well as first quarter reports. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the followinq resolution and moved its adoption: <br />Page -14- <br />
