f~linutes <br />City Council <br />N1ay 24, 19II9 <br />IIowe/DeSace _ introduced the following resolution and moved <br />Subdivision its adoption: <br />(cont.) <br />12ESOLUTION NO, 89-5^214 - APPROVTNG THE <br />HOT~7E/DEIIACE SUBDTVTSION RLQUEST AND 6VATVING TEi~ <br />PARK CIIIIRG~ AS RECOMP~4ENDED SY TI3P PARR COMNIISSTON <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly second~d by ~,_~_ <br /> Ayes (5) Blesener, Collova, Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, <br /> Nays (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br />Stellick P1r, Fahey indicated that ~he blarket Place has requested <br />Property approval of a lot split to resolve some issue that was <br />Division regarding mortgage financing, P9r. Fahey stated that tk~e <br /> parcel they were talking about splitting is located at the <br />Agenda east end of the existing t4arket Place building adjacent to <br />Item No. 9 Garden Terrace Apartments, The Planning Commission has <br /> recommended approval unanimously. ~4r. Grittman has <br /> recommended platting of the Market Place and designating tki~ <br /> lot that is split off as an outlot until final platting. <br /> t9r. Stellicic asked if there would be a parlc charge. Mrs, <br /> Scalze stated that the staff would look into this. <br />P9r. Stellick stated that at one time it used to be a <br />separate tax parcel, when the site was sold for housing, <br />apparently this was merged with the rest of the land for tax <br />purposes, f9r. Stellick indicated that originally it was <br />separate tax parcels that were later merged through the <br />action of the housing, <br />t9r. Fahey asked if the parcel they wish to divide is off of <br />Garden Terrace's parcel and not ofP the ~~iarket Place parcel. <br />P~1r. Stellick indicated that the parcel was a separate h.ax <br />parcel and then somehow what remained oL that parcel got <br />merged with the Market Place parcel. <br />P1r. Fahey felt that it was done intentionally by someone who <br />filed a legal document. ~~Irs. Scalze asked if the r~larket <br />P1ace wanted to sell the parcel of land. <br />P~ir. Stellick said that they didn'~ want to sellp however, <br />they wanted it there for finance so if they ever want ~o <br />develop anything on it, they would have the freedom to clo <br />so. Nlrs.
