Minutes <br />City Council <br />June 2II, 19II9 <br />Struntz <br />(cont,) n9r, Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption, <br />RESOLUTION NO 89-6-28~ - INSTRUCTING JOHN PALACIO TO H~ND <br />DELIVER A LETTER TO THE FAMILY VIDEO GALLERY ADVTSING THEtd TO <br />CEASE IMMEDIATELY WTTA THE FLASfiING LIGHTS, ATTACHING A COPY OF <br />ORDTNANCE 903.110B2G AND TO INSTRUCT Tfl~ SHERIFF TO CONIMENCB <br />TAGG~N~HIM.,A~D~O`TAK OT~ LEGAL{~1CTION AGATNST THEM~~~•~• <br />~. z,c, ~. ~ta,~ <br />The PoregY~ ~g resoluti was duly seconded by Mr. Collova. <br />Ayes (4) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Liquor License <br />Hours Mr. Pahey renewed the new State liquor license allowing the <br />of£-sale liquor stores to be open on the 9th of July and Ne~a <br />Years day. Tierney's and Bloom's Liquors are not in favor of <br />this ordinance. On a survey of other Cities it was two to two. <br />P4r. Ron Gerstad, MGM Liquors appeared before the Council . He <br />was of the opinion that the ordinance should be passed to be <br />fair to the stores that wished to be open. <br />Mr. Fahey indicated that we have had no request from the <br />on-sale liquor stores to be open until 1e00 a.m. on t9onday <br />morning. Mrs. Scalze has no problem allowing what the State <br />1aw chanqes after this present holiday, hir. I3lesener mentioned <br />that it had to be published before being in effect. <br />Pnrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO• II9-6-289 - TASLTNG THE OFF-SALE LIQUOit OPENIIVG <br />ON JULY 4 AND JANUARY 1 F012 90 DAYS UNTTL WE DETERMINE WHAT <br />HAPPENS WITH THE CITY OE ST. PAUL. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Rick Collova. <br />Ayes (~1) <br />Nays (0) <br />Resolution declared adoptec1, <br />Facilities <br />Committee Mr. Ray Hanson, Chairperson for the E'acilities Committee <br />reported to the Council the actions taken by the FacilitieN <br />Committee, The present fire station is inadequate for housing <br />the fire equipment. The Committee made up of citizens at large <br />has taken tours of other fire ha11s. They have determined what <br />size building they ~vould need and have checked out the <br />different sites available. The Committee is recommending to <br />the Council the Little Canada Road, Centerville Road site which <br />includes the b7cNamara, Weinholzer and P4ondor properties. <br />i'age 10 <br />
