MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />September 6, 1989 <br />The City Engineer reported that the $350,000 project <br />estimate includes easement acquisition costs. However, <br />the exact details of the project will not be known <br />until a survey and detailed plans are prepared. <br />Osland pointed out that there is a portion of the <br />existing ditch that detours to the west, and reported <br />that there are 8-inch diameter trees in that portion of <br />the ditch. <br />The City Engineer reported that there is storm sewer <br />included to drain this area as well. <br />Fahey felt that a comprehensive drainage program for <br />the area was needed. <br />Pantzer again was concerned that <br />available this evening. Pantzer <br />has been no discussion regarding <br />point near the animal clinic. <br />Fahey pointed out that it is not <br />projects of this nature subject <br />drainage. <br />the answers are not <br />pointed out that there <br />the existing holding <br />untypical to approve <br />to working out <br />The City Engineer pointed out that it takes time for <br />the Watershed to review a project as well. The <br />Watershed will look at the overall drainage picture for <br />the area. <br />Pantzer reported that the residents of the area want to <br />know how big the storm sewer will be and its exact <br />location. <br />The City Engineer again stated that if the project is <br />approved a survey will be prepared and those details <br />will be identified. <br />Scalze asked if Iona Lane property owners will be <br />assessed as part of this project. <br />The City Engineer replied that the project would be of <br />no benefit to Iona Lane residents, therefore, they will <br />not be assessed. <br />Pantzer was concerned about how the storm sewer will be <br />installed without tearing everything in the area up. <br />Pierce stated that there was not adequate room in a 15 <br />foot easement to install a storm sewer. <br />Page 9 <br />
