MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />September 13, 1989 <br />There was no one from the general public present <br />wishinq to comment on this matter. <br />Upon motion by Collova, seconded by 5calze, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Blesener asked if there was an existing garage on the <br />property. <br />Mr. DeBace replied that there was not. DeBace reported <br />that the garage will meet the City's setback <br />requirements. <br />Blesener pointed out that the City's Building Inspector <br />will need to inspect the garage to ensure that it meets <br />Building Codes. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-9-431 - APPROVING THE JEFF DEBACE <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR GARAGE RELOCATION TO 138 <br />COUNTY ROAD C SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE <br />CITY PLANNER AND SUBJECT THE APPROVAL OF THE STRUCTURE <br />BY THE BUILDING INSPECTOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />ORGANIZED Fahey reported that the City has been studying the <br />COLLECTION issue of organized collection since February of 1987. <br />Fahey reported that there is an information sheet <br />available this evening which outlines the background of <br />the issue and the results of the City's comprehensive <br />study. Fahey reviewed this information for the general <br />public present. <br />Fahey further reported that there are approximately 27 <br />cities in the Metro Area which already have gone to <br />organized collection, many of those cities limiting <br />service to being provided by one hauler. <br />Fahey reported that the City has received requests for <br />exemptions to mandatory trash collection for various <br />reasons.
