MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 12, 2025 <br />Malone referenced the west parking lot for Pioneer Park and asked if that would remain the same size. <br />The Public Works Director confirmed that would stay the same size as part of this project. <br />Gutierrez introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2025-2-23 — APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 2025 PW41, 2025 PW79, <br />AND 2025 PW80 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONTRACT FOR CITY ADMINISTRATOR EXECUTIVE RECRUITMENT FIRM <br />The City Administrator stated that earlier this year he announced his impending resignation as he has <br />accepted a new position. He stated that part of the process that followed included an Request for <br />Proposal process for an executive recruitment firm to assist in the search to fill his position. He noted <br />that three proposals were received, which were reviewed by the Personnel Committee and City <br />Council. He stated that HueLife was chosen as the firm the City would like to move forward with. <br />Miller commented that HueLife has been involved in the last two strategic planning sessions for the <br />city and, therefore, believes that will be the best fit as they are already familiar with the city and its <br />desired direction. Mayor Fischer noted that HueLife was also the lowest bid. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2 025-2-24 — A CCEPT THE CONSULTING SER VICES A GREEMENT <br />FROM HUELIFE FOR CITYADMINISTRA TOR EXECUTIVE SEARCH SERVICES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ORDINANCE 908, AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR MECHANICAL PERMIT AND <br />PARK FACILITY RENTAL, ADMINISTRATIVE FEES AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL FEES <br />The City Clerk noted that these are proposed changes to the fee schedule and provided more <br />information on the proposed change to mechanical permits for mobile home set-ups. She stated that <br />the Building Official believes that the required building permit is sufficient to cover that time and, <br />therefore, recommended that the mechanical permit be eliminated. <br />The Parks and Recreation Director provided an overview of the proposed additions and changes for <br />parks and recreation. Miller recognized that some communities limit alcohol to 3.2 percent items but <br />stated that it does not appear Little Canada will be doing that but instead simply stating that if there <br />will be alcohol, there will be a $50 charge. The Parks and Recreation Director replied that a certificate <br />of insurance (COI) is also required to be in place. <br />3 <br />
