MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />September 27, 1989 <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RE50LUTION N0. 89-9-468 - APPROVING THE PROPOSED 1990 <br />BUDGET AS PRESENTED BY THE CITY AUDITOR IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $1,390,000 FOR CERTIFICATION TO THE COUNTY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-9-469 - CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF THE 1990 BUDGET FOR OCTOBER 25, <br />1989 AT 7:30 P.M. AND OCTOBER 30, 1989 AT 7:30 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Auditor reported that there is a chance that <br />the State Legislature will reduce local government <br />aids, therefore, the Auditor suggested that publication <br />of the budget hearing notice be delayed until it can be <br />determined what the Leqislature will do. <br />CARLA LANE The City Engineer reported that the Council had <br />requested that he review some assessment questions <br />raised by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Francis on Carla Lane and <br />Dr. and Mrs. Skibsted on Carla Lane. <br />The Engineer pointed out that with regard to Lot 2, <br />Block 3, Gervais Peninsula owned by Mr. and Mrs. <br />Francis, that particular lot actually fronts on Keller <br />Parkway, and only has 17 feet of frontage on Carla <br />Lane. Therefore, the City Engineer recommended that <br />should the property owner agree to give up access to <br />Carla Lane, and only access the lot via Keller Parkway, <br />the assessment for the Carla Lane overlay should be <br />deleted for this property. <br />Page 26 <br />
