MINUTES CITY COUNCIL September 27, 1989 Scalze reported that Sanders is also working on a lighting plan for the Little Canada Road area as part of the Celebrate MN Grant Proqram. However, Sanders will determine if the new lighting can be installed durinq 1990 rather than this year, since the City is negotiating for the purchase of property at Little Canada Road and Centerville Road for a new fire station site. Scalze reported that the Park Commission has discussed the extention of the new lighting system to include this property as well. Sanders will obtain a formal decision on this matter from the Celebrate MN Grant Program. SPRINKLING Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and BAN moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-9-491 - AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT TO LIFT THE CITY'S SPRINKLING BAN WHEN HE DETERMINES APPROPRIATE, AND REQUESTING THAT TAE PUBLIC BE NOTIFIED OF THIS ACTION THROUGH THE CITY'S NEWSPAPER AND CABLE TV The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. PARK REPORT Scalze reported that power will be connected to the Pioneer Park irrigation system very soon.
