MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />September 27, 1989 <br />Scalze reported that Sanders is also working on a <br />lighting plan for the Little Canada Road area as part <br />of the Celebrate MN Grant Proqram. However, Sanders <br />will determine if the new lighting can be installed <br />durinq 1990 rather than this year, since the City is <br />negotiating for the purchase of property at Little <br />Canada Road and Centerville Road for a new fire station <br />site. Scalze reported that the Park Commission has <br />discussed the extention of the new lighting system to <br />include this property as well. Sanders will obtain a <br />formal decision on this matter from the Celebrate MN <br />Grant Program. <br />SPRINKLING Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />BAN moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-9-491 - AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS <br />SUPERINTENDENT TO LIFT THE CITY'S SPRINKLING BAN WHEN <br />HE DETERMINES APPROPRIATE, AND REQUESTING THAT TAE <br />PUBLIC BE NOTIFIED OF THIS ACTION THROUGH THE CITY'S <br />NEWSPAPER AND CABLE TV <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PARK REPORT Scalze reported that power will be connected to the <br />Pioneer Park irrigation system very soon. <br />Scalze also reported that <br />installed for the Spooner <br />The equipment itself will <br />October. <br />the curbing has been <br />Park playground equipment. <br />be installed sometime in <br />RECREATION Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />PART-TIME moved its adoption: <br />SALARIES <br />RESOLUTION N0. 89-9-492 - INCREASING MINIMUM PART-TIME <br />RECREATION SALARIES TO $4.25 PER HOUR EFFECTIVE <br />IMMEDIATELY <br />The foreqoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Fahey, Collova, Blesener. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PAGE 40 <br />
