MINUTES CITY COUNCIL October 11, 1989 Blesener suggested approval of the proposal subject to further review by the Planning Commission. It was the concensus of the Council not to return this matter to the Planning Commission since the Council addressed all the concerns raised by the Commission. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 89-10-506 - APPROVING THE SLUMBERLAND ADDITION AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR OUTSIDE STORAGE OF SEMI-TRAILERS WITH THE STIPULATION THAT THE LANDSCAPING AS PROPOSED TAIS EVENING INCLUDE A BERM ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AND THAT THE BERM ALSO EXTEND ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE PROPERTY AND TAAT LANDSCAPING INCLUDE A LANDSCAPED AREA ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF THE PROPOSED TRAILER-PARKING AREA, WITH THE LANDSCAPING PLAN TO MEET THE APPROVAL OF THE CITY PLANNER, ALSO SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS CONTAINED IN HIS VARIOUS REPORTS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. SUPER Julie Cardinal, Roseville Area Schools, appeared before SUN~IER '89 the Council to report on the 1989 Super Summer Program. Cardinal reported that 275 children participated in the program. About 75% of the funding for the program was donated, and the Parent-Teachers Association and St. John's Home and School funded over 40 scholarships in the program. Cardinal then presented a short slide presentation highlighting the Super Summper Program. Cardinal reported that there is a balance of about $2,000 in the Super Summer account, which she hoped could be rolled over for next year to get the 1990 Program started. Blesener pointed out the high ratings that both the Counselors and the Camp received from participants and parents. The Council thanked Cardinal for the presentation as well as the good job that was done with the Program. Paqe 10
