MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />October 11, 1989 <br />Blesener suggested approval of the proposal subject to <br />further review by the Planning Commission. <br />It was the concensus of the Council not to return this <br />matter to the Planning Commission since the Council <br />addressed all the concerns raised by the Commission. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-10-506 - APPROVING THE SLUMBERLAND <br />ADDITION AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR OUTSIDE STORAGE <br />OF SEMI-TRAILERS WITH THE STIPULATION THAT THE <br />LANDSCAPING AS PROPOSED TAIS EVENING INCLUDE A BERM ON <br />THE EAST SIDE OF THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AND THAT THE <br />BERM ALSO EXTEND ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE PROPERTY <br />AND TAAT LANDSCAPING INCLUDE A LANDSCAPED AREA ALONG <br />THE WEST SIDE OF THE PROPOSED TRAILER-PARKING AREA, <br />WITH THE LANDSCAPING PLAN TO MEET THE APPROVAL OF THE <br />CITY PLANNER, ALSO SUBJECT TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF <br />THE CITY PLANNER AS CONTAINED IN HIS VARIOUS REPORTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. <br />Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />SUPER Julie Cardinal, Roseville Area Schools, appeared before <br />SUN~IER '89 the Council to report on the 1989 Super Summer Program. <br />Cardinal reported that 275 children participated in the <br />program. About 75% of the funding for the program was <br />donated, and the Parent-Teachers Association and St. <br />John's Home and School funded over 40 scholarships in <br />the program. Cardinal then presented a short slide <br />presentation highlighting the Super Summper Program. <br />Cardinal reported that there is a balance of about <br />$2,000 in the Super Summer account, which she hoped <br />could be rolled over for next year to get the 1990 <br />Program started. <br />Blesener pointed out the high ratings that both the <br />Counselors and the Camp received from participants and <br />parents. <br />The Council thanked Cardinal for the presentation as <br />well as the good job that was done with the Program. <br />Paqe 10 <br />
