MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />October 11, 1989 <br />CABLE TV Blesener reported that the Cable TV Commission's <br />negotiating committee has reached an agreement with the <br />Cable TV company transferring access to the Cable <br />Commission. The Committee has also come up with an <br />equitable dollar amount for an operating budget which <br />will be funded by the cable company. It is not <br />intended at this time that franchise fees will be <br />necessary for funding the budget. <br />Fahey asked if Bill Bruce had any thoughts on upgrading <br />the City's Cable TV equipment. <br />Bruce reported that liqhting improvements are needed <br />and there are also improvements needed to the sound <br />system. <br />Fahey agreed that these areas should be considered in <br />conjunction with any remodeling project of the City <br />Center. <br />Scalze reported that on October 18th the Ramsey County <br />League will present Bill Bruce and the City of Little <br />Canada with the Government Agency of the Quarter award <br />for the City's Cable TV programming efforts. Scalze <br />also reported that other cities are looking at Little <br />Canada's system and using it as a roll model in <br />establishing their own systems. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 89-10-512 - GRANTING BILL BRUCE A 4% <br />SALARY INCREASE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1990 <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. <br />Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />OVERNIGHT Blesener asked the City Planner to look at the City's <br />PARKING ordinance with regard to overnight parking of vehicles <br />in City parking lots. Blesener felt the City had to <br />control used car sales in these lots. <br />BOOSALIS Scalze reported that Mr. Boosalis has not submitted a <br />PARK CAARGE a copy of his purchase agreement for property in the <br />County Road C and Rice Street area, so that the City <br />can determine the amount of his park charge.
