MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />January 24, 1990 <br />It was the concensus of the Council that the alarm at <br />the Adventures in Video site was incorrectly <br />categorized as a false alarm. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-1-38 - BASED ON THE INFORMATION <br />RECEIVED FROM THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR AND THE BUSINESS <br />OWNER, AGREEING THAT THE BURGLAR ALARM AT THE <br />ADVENTURES IN VIDEO STORE ON NOVEMBER 16, 1989 WAS NOT <br />A FALSE ALARM, THEREFORE, THE FALSE ALARM FEE WOULD NOT <br />APPLY IN THIS INSTANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Blesener, Collova, Scalze. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />RECESS At this point in the meeting, 9:21 P.M., the Council <br />took a short recess. The meeting was reconvened at <br />9:30 P.M. <br />FIRE STATION The City Administrator reported that at its last <br />ARCHITECT meeting, the Council instructed him to obtain a <br />proposal from Boarman & Associates for architectural <br />services in connection with the new Fire Station <br />project. The Council indicated that if the proposal <br />was determined to be out-of-line, then the <br />Administrator was to solicit proposals from other <br />architectural firms. <br />The Administrator reported that he just received the <br />proposal from Boarman & Associates this afternoon, and <br />has not had an opportunity to review it. <br />It was the concensus of the Council to schedule a <br />special meeting of the Council for Friday, In the <br />meantime, the Administrator could review the proposal <br />from Boarman and report on its content at the special <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-1-39 - CALLING A SPECIAL MEETING OF <br />THE COUNCIL FOR FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 1990 AT 4:30 P.M. <br />Page 16 <br />
