MINUTES CITY COUNCIL February 14, 1990 adopt statutory limits or go beyond those limits for an additional premium. The Attorney reported that last year the Minnesota Supreme Court reinforced the statutory limits stating that at the present time they are reasonable. The Attorney stated that it was his recommendation not to go beyond the statutory limits since the Supreme Court has reinforced those limits unless the Council feels there is a strong reason for providing additional coverage. The Administrator reported that the additional coverage would only cover situations not covered by the statutory limits. If the City does not waive its statutory limits, those limits would stay in place and the City will save approximately $3,000 in premium. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-2-76 - DECLARING THAT THE CITY DOES NOT WAIVE ITS MONETARY LIMITS ON TORT LIABILITY ESTABLISHED BY MINNESOTA STATUTES 466.04 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (4) Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. TOWER LAND The City Attorney reported that he has reviewed the LEASE Tower Land Lease Agreement between the City and Ramsey County Emergency Services and it appears to be in order. This lease covers additional emergency services equipment that has already been installed in the water tower. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-2-77 - APPROVING THE TOWER LAND LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND RAMSEY COUNTY EMERGENCY SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
