MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />February 14, 1990 <br />1990 CENSUS Council reviewed the request of the 1990 Census <br />Complete Count Committee for $220 to cover the cost of <br />printing up a flyer promoting the Census which will be <br />distributed to the City's multiple-units. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-2-87 - APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF <br />$220 FOR PRINTING COSTS FOR A FLYER PROMOTING THE 1990 <br />CENSUS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Scalze reported that on Wednesday, February 21st, there <br />will be a meeting of the Ramsey County League at the <br />City Center. The topic that will be discussed is the <br />1990 Census. <br />CANDIAN DAYS Fahey reported that he has had discussions with the <br />Canadian Days Committee about the need for a paid, <br />part-time coordinator for Canadian Days. The Council <br />discussed salary and whether or not one coordinator was <br />adequate or if two were needed. The Council felt these <br />issued could be resolved after the coordinator position <br />is advertised. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-2-88 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO ADVERTISE FOR A COORDINATOR FOR <br />CANADIAN DAYS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Fahey, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />REGIONAL Fahey reported that the Regional Rail Authority is <br />RAILROAD looking for City representation on their Light Rail <br />COMMITTEE Transit Intergovernmental Communications Committee. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />Page 21 <br />
