Council reviewed the petition submitted by residents
DECORATIVE on Reidmond Avenue for a decorative street light.
STREET LIGHT
The City Administrator reported that Public Works has
reviewed this request, and City policy requires that
the extra cost for power and maintenance for decorative
street lights over standard lights be borne by property
owners. The additional cost in this instance is
estimated at $3.70 per month based on current rates.
If there are costs for transformer installation and
cable, those will have to be borne by the property
owners as well.
Marianne Misukanis, representing the Reidmond Avenue
residents, reported that she spoke with NSP and was
informed that no additional transformer or cable is
necessary. The Reidmond Avenue residents are agreeable
to paying the extra monthly power and maintenance costs
Page 9
