MINUTES City Council February 28, 1990 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Blesener, Nays (O). Resolution declared adopted. JOINT Collova reported that the Chairperson of the Planning MEETING WITH Commission has contacted him asking for a joint meeting PLANNING with the Council. COMMISSION The Council discussed this request and suggested that a joint meeting could be held prior to the Council meeting on April llth at 6:30 P.M. Council asked that this suqgestion be forwarded to the Commission at their meeting on March 8th, and, if necessary, the Commission can schedule another date. ISSUES It was the concensus of the Council to schedule an WORKSHOP administrative issues workshop for Wednesday, March 14th, at 6 P.M. NORTHEAST Council noted that there was one response to the City's CORRIDOR advertisement for representation on the Northeast LIGHT RAIL Corridor Light Rail Transit Task Force. The City has TRANSIT been asked for two representatives and one alternate to TASK FORCE the Task Force. The application received is from Karen Johnson on Arcade Street and the City Administrator reviewed Ms. Johnson's qualifications. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-2-107 - NOMINATING KAREN JOI-INSON AS THE CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE NORTHEAST CORRIDOR LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT TASK FORCE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Collova, Scalze, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. HAZMAT The Council reviewed the proposed agreement from the AGREEMENT City of St. Paul to provide hazardous materials clean-up for Little Canada. Fahey noted that it is the recommendation of the City's Fire Chief to enter into the agreement with St. Paul even though it provides more than the City is legally required to do.
