MINUTES <br />City Council <br />February 28, 1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (o). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CABLE TV Bill Bruce, Cable TV Producer, appeared before the <br />EQUIPMENT Council and reviewed his request dated February 27th to <br />PURCHASE purchase additional Cable TV equipment, The low <br />quotation received is from MPCS Video Industries <br />Orlando, Inc. in the amount of $9,055. Bruce noted <br />that the cost of the equipment would come from Cable TV <br />franchise fees. Bruce reported that the City would <br />have a surplus of $3,700 in franchise fees which he is <br />recommending be reserved to address audio-visual needs <br />when the City Center is expanded. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-2-110 - APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF <br />CABLE TV EQUIPMENT AS RECOMMENDED BY BILL BRUCE IN HIS <br />LETTER OF FEBRUARY 27, 1990 AND AWARDING THE LOW <br />QUOTATION TO MPCS VIDEO INDUSTRIES ORLANDO, INC. IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $9,055.00 <br />The foregoinq resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PIONEER PARK Scalze reported that the Pioneer Park Building <br />RECREATION Committee is requesting that the City advertise for <br />BUILDING bids for construction of the recreation building in <br />Pioneer Park. Scalze pointed out that the Recreation <br />Association has agreed to donate the funding for <br />construction of that building, and the funds will be in <br />the City's hands prior to bids being accepted. Final <br />plans for the building should be completed by March <br />7th. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-2-111 - AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BID FOR THE PIONEER PARK RECREATION BUILDING AND <br />WAIVING CITY FEES IN CONNECTION WITH THAT PROJECT <br />Page 24 <br />
