MINUTES City Council February 28, 1990 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, Collova, LaValle, Blesener. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PARK REPORT Scalze noted the correspondence in the agenda for Council information from Forest Lake Contracting, Inc. regarding the seeding of Pioneer Park. Scalze also noted Pioneer Park site work information and Park Budget information which has been included in the agenda for the Council's information. SANDERS' Scalze reviewed the letter submitted by Bill Sanders RESIGNATION resigning from the Park Commission since Sanders believes it is important that his work with the Park Commission be on the level of a landscape architect exclusively. Scalze noted that Sanders has served as a Park Commissioner since 1973, and commented on the excellent job that he has done for the City. Scalze reported that it is Sanders' intent to continue to attend Park Commission meetings in his role as consultant and this desire is shared by the Park Commission. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-2-112 - ACCEPTING TAE RESIGNATION OF BILL SANDERS AS PARK COMMISSIONER, WITH DIRECTION TO STAFF TO SEND A CERTIFICATE OF APPRECIATION TO SANDERS FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CITY, AND REQUESTING THAT SANDERS' LEVEL OF WORK WITH THE COMMISSION REMAIN THE SAME AND THAT HE CONTINUE TO ATTEND PARK COMMISSION MEETINGS IN AIS CAPACITY AS PARK DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT, AND AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT OF THIS PARK COMMISSION VACANCY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova.
