MINUTES <br />City Council <br />February 28, 1990 <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mr. Collova introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-2-95 - DENYING THE VARIANCE REQUEST <br />SUBMITTED BY SHERMAN-BOOSALIS COMPANY TO THE CITY'S <br />SIGN ORDINANCE FOR A THIRD PYLON SIGN AT THE RICE AT C <br />CENTER SINCE THE REQUEST DOES NOT MEET THE STANDARDS OF <br />THE ORDINANCE FOR VARIANCES <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Collova, Fahey, Scalze, Blesener, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Planner recommended that if <br />going to consider amending the sign <br />provide a conditional use permit for <br />free-standing signs, that a rigorous <br />be included in the ordinance to give <br />capacity for denial. <br />the Council is <br />~rdinance to <br />additional <br />set of standards <br />the City the <br />Council suggested that the Planner survey other cities <br />about this matter. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-2-96 - INSTRUCTING THE CITY PLANNER <br />TO SURVEY OTHER CITIES REGARDING ADDITIONAL <br />FREE-STANDING SIGNS WHERE THERE ARE MULTIPLE BUILDINGS <br />AT SHOPPING CENTER5 AND INSTRUCTING THE PLANNER TO <br />REPORT TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON THIS MATTER <br />SEEKING THEIR RECOMMENDATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Collova, Blesener, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUBLIC Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the <br />HEARING application for a subdivision sketch plan review and <br />177 EAST concept Planned Unit Development to allow the <br />COUNTY RD.B development of twenty-two single-family lots and <br />twenty-six rambler-type townhouse lots at 177 East <br />County Road B by Gordie Howe Real Estate.
