MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />March 14, 1990 <br />if the Fire Department was willing to pay for this <br />installation. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-3-123 - APPROVING THE AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE INSTALLATION OF AN OPTICOM SYSTEM AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF RICE STREET AND COUNTY ROAD C, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO SIGN <br />THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Fahey, Collova, Scalze, <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />GANZEL FILL The City Engineer reported that he discussed with Mr. <br />PERMIT Ganzel his application for a fill permit. The Engineer <br />reported that Mr. Ganzel has not determined whether or <br />not he needs a permit from the Watershed, plus there is <br />the question of the drainage easement. The Engineer <br />reported that these items should be resolved in the <br />next couple of weeks, at which time he would bring the <br />matter back before the Council. <br />Fahey suggested that the City Engineer work with the <br />City Attorney on the legal description for the drainage <br />easement. <br />1990 SEWER The Public Works Superintendent appeared before the <br />& WATER Council presentinq the proposed 1990 Sewer and Water <br />BUDGETS Budgets. <br />The Superintendent reviewed in detail the proposed 1990 <br />Water Budget pointing out a revision in the Budget <br />increasing the line item for Board of Water <br />Commissioners to $350,000, bringing the total budget <br />amount to $585,627. This increase was necessary due to <br />estimated costs from the City of St. Paul. <br />The Public Works Superintendent reported that based on <br />the Water Budget proposed, he is recommending that the <br />City's water rates remain at $1.50 per thousand gallons <br />and that the water availability charge remain at $11.50 <br />per quarter. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />Page 16 <br />
