MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />March 28, 1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CLEAN-UP DAY The City Administrator reported that Public Works is in <br />the process of organizing a Spring clean-up day. A <br />full report will be made to the Council when details <br />are finalized. <br />STREET Blesener reported that the City will be advertising for <br />SWEEPING BIDS street sweeping bids, and these bids will be presented <br />to the Council for action in the near future. <br />CODE Collova asked the status of increased code enforcement <br />ENFORCEMENT within the City. <br />The Administrator reported that the Building Inspector <br />is putting together a plan to address this issue and a <br />report will probably be ready for the next Council <br />meeting. <br />PARK Council reviewed the applications received from Jan <br />COMMISSION Sherman and Gordon Kimble for the vacancy on the City's <br />VACANCY Park Commission. Council cast a ballot to fill the <br />vacancy with Scalze, Fahey, and Collova voting for Jan <br />Sherman, and Blesener votinq for Gordon Kimble. <br />Therefore, Jan Sherman was appointed to the vacancy on <br />the Park Commission for a term to expire on December <br />31, 1990. <br />Council asked that City staff notify Sherman of her <br />appointment and thank Mr. Kimble for his interest. <br />PARK CHARGE Scalze reported that the Park Commission has <br />recommended that the City increase its park charge for <br />residential development to a minimum of $400 per unit <br />from the current $300 per unit which has been in effect <br />for the last several years. <br />Collova stated that he was opposed to the increase <br />pointing out that the Council's recent actions in the <br />area of charitable gambling could bring additional <br />monies into the City's Park Fund. <br />Page 22 <br />
