MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
March 28, 1990
The City Planner stated that he feels it is reasonable
to delay the parking improvement based on his review of
the site and existing parking, but feels that the
capability to increase parking to 207 spaces should be
shown on the site plan. The Planner reported that the
Council can insist that the additional parking be
improved if they feel parking at the site would be a
problem, however, the Planner did not believe it to be
a major issue at this time.
Kaufman reported that Slumberland would prefer to see
the area green rather than asphalt.
Fahey pointed out another instance where a development
proposal could not proceed because the parking was
inadequate and there was not adequate room to provide
for additional parking.
The Planner replied that in that instance it was a
documented fact that additional parking was needed at
the site.
