MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />April 11, 1990 <br />RECESS <br />LIQUOR <br />ORDINANCE <br />Mrs. Davis, 161 Big Circle Drive, questioned that the <br />storm shelter would be safe in the event of a tornado. <br />Blesener replied that the type of construction used <br />would dictate a safe shelter. <br />Scalze pointed out that the Five <br />in Vadnais Heights had designate <br />their emergency shelter, and the <br />Star to the Garaqe is comparable <br />Estates to the Garage, but there <br />lights between Five Star and the <br />Star Mobilehome Park <br />3 the County garage as <br />distance from Five <br />to that of North Star <br />may be more stop <br />Garage. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-4-171 - APPROVING THE EMERGENCY <br />EVACUATION PLAN SUBMITTED BY THE NORTH STAR ESTATES <br />MOBILEHOME PARK WHICH INCORPORATES THE USE OF THE <br />COUNTY GARAGE AND PRESENT LITTLE CANADA FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT, WITH THE ADDITION OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THE <br />NEW FIRE STATION, AS EMERGENCY STORM SHELTER SITES, <br />BASED ON THE FACT THAT THE MOBILExOME PARK IN VADNAIS <br />HEIGHTS HAS A SIMILAR EVACUATION PLAN WHICH WAS FOUND <br />TO BE ACCEPTABLE AND A SURVEY OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE <br />MOBILEHOME PARK SHOWED THAT A LARGE MAJORITY OF THE <br />RESIDENTS PREFERRED THIS PLAN OVER OTHER PRESENTED <br />OPTIONS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />At this point in the meeting, 8:55 P.M., Council took a <br />short recess. The meeting was reconvened at 9:05 P.M. <br />The City Attorney submitted two proposed ordinance <br />amendments which brings the City's liquor ordinance <br />into conformity with State law. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following ordinance and <br />moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 329 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />703.010, ADDING SECTION 703.025 AND AMENDING SECTION <br />703.030 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA, REGULATING OF TEMPORARY ON-SALE INTOXICATING <br />LIQUOR LICENSES <br />The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Paae 11 <br />
