MINUTES CITY COUNCIL April 11, 1990 FUNDING OF Blesener reported that the City Auditors have asked for WATER TOWER a clarification of the funding for water tower repairs. REPAIRS Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-4-187 - AUTHORIZING THE FUNDING OF WATER TOWER REPAIR ENTERPRISE FUND EXPENSES FROM THE CITY'S WATER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CODE Collova noted the correspondence from the Building ENFORCEMENT Inspector regarding code enforcement, and suggested that this matter be placed on the next Council agenda for discussion. MONDOR Blesener reported that Butch Runestrand has requested PROPERTY authority to remove cabinets from the Mondor house which the City recently purchased for the new fire station site. Blesener asked if the Administrator was successful in getting one of the housemovers to take the Mondor house. The Administrator reported that, at this point, it appears that the Fire Department is the option for disposing of the Mondor house. LaValle was concerned about safety if the Mondor house were used for a Fire Department drill. Jim Morelan, representing the Fire Department, reported that the Fire Department is considering using the house for minor drills, which would be held in the early morning hours. Morelan was not sure if the Department would burn the house since there is concern about exposure to neighboring buildings. Scalze suggested that the Fire Department coordinate their efforts with the City Administrator. Collova asked if there would be a liability problem if Mr. Runestrand were allowed to go into the house, which is now City property, and remove fixtures. Page 22
