MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />April 11, 1990 <br />CANADIAN DAYS Council reviewed the application of the Canadian Days <br />GAMBLING Committee for a gambling license to hold a gold plate <br />PERMIT dinner at the Venetian Inn on Sunday, May 20th. It was <br />noted that sheriff's reports are pending. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-4-189 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />GAMBLING PERMIT SUBMITTED BY THE CANADIAN DAYS <br />COMMITTEE TO AOLD A GOLD PLATE DINNER AND RAFFLE AT THE <br />VENETIAN INN ON SUNDAY, MAY 20, 1990 CONTINGENT UPON <br />RECEIPT OF A SATISFACTORY POLICE AND WAIVING THE CITY'S <br />60-DAY REVIEW PERIOD AS WELL AS NOTING THAT THE SALE OF <br />PULL TABS IS NOT ALLOWED AS A PART OF THIS GAMBLING <br />PERMIT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Collova asked the status of hiring a Canadian Days <br />Coordinator. <br />The Administrator reported that the Canadian Days <br />Committee will be discussing the issue of salary at <br />their meeting tomorrow evening. Once that issue has <br />been resolved, the applicants will be contacted to <br />determine if they are still interested in the position. <br />CENSUS The Council reviewed the report of the 1990 Census <br />COMPLETE Complete Count Committee and instructed City staff <br />CoUNT send thank-you letters to the groups who participated <br />COMMITTEE in the door-knocker distribution and certificates of <br />appreciation to the members of the Committee. <br />VOUCHERS Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-4-190 - APPROVING TI-IE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Collova, Scalze, Blesener. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CLEAN-UP DAY It was noted that a park clean-up day has been <br />scheduled for Saturday, April 21st, and Cub Scout <br />PA~E 24 <br />
