MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />April 11, 1990 <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-4-168 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />EXEMPTION FROM LAWFUL GAMBLING LICENSE SUBMITTED BY THE <br />NORTH END BUSINESS CLUB FOR A GOLD PLATE DINNER AT THE <br />VENETIAN INN ON 5UNDAY, MAY 6, 1990 NOTING THAT THE <br />APPROVAL PERMITS RAFFLES ONLY AND NOT THE SALE OF <br />PULL-TABS~ AND WAIVING THE CITY'S 60-DAY REVIEW PERIOD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />FIRE DEPT. Mr. Bob DeBace appeared before the Council requesting <br />RELIEF ASSOC. approval of an amendment to the Fire Department Relief <br />Association's By-Laws allowing for the inclusion of <br />probationary periods in determining pension benefits <br />for firemen, DeBace reported that this amendment is <br />the result of a State Law change and will bring the <br />By-Laws into conformance with State Law. The change <br />has been recommended for approval by the Relief <br />Association's Board of Directors as well as the general <br />membership of the Fire Department. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-4-169 - APPROVING THE CxANGE TO THE <br />BY-LAWS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION AS <br />PROPOSED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Collova. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Collova, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />SOCHA FILL Mr. John Socha, 2530 McMenemy, appeared before the <br />PERMIT Council requesting approval of a fill permit. Socha <br />submitted to the Council a letter he received from the <br />Watershed regarding his application. <br />Scalze reviewed this letter for the Council pointing <br />out that the Watershed has indicated that they have no <br />objections to the filling proposed and a permit is not <br />required from them. <br />Page 8 <br />
