MINUTES CITY COUNCIL APRIL 25, 1990 ADOPTION OF THE MODIFIED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM RELATING THERETO, AND THE PROPOSED MODIFICATION OF THE TAX INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN FOR THUNDER BAY TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 1 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Scalze, Collova, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. FIRE DEPT. The Council reviewed the 1990 Fire Department contract CONTRACT with the City Administrator reporting that the Fire Chief has indicated that he believed the City provided errors and omissions coverage for the Fire Department in proceeding years. It was the concensus of the Council to table action on adoption of the contract for two weeks to give the City Administrator an opportunity to clarify this issue. CANADIAN DAYS Fahey reported that the Canadian Days Committee has COORDINATOR determined that an annual salary of $1,200 to $1,500 should be paid for the position of Canadian Days Coordinator. The Administrator has contacted the applicants for the position and determined whether or not they were still interested in the position based on this salary. Fahey reported that the Canadian Days Committee will interview the interested applicants and will make a recommendation to the Council. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 90-4-220 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO HIRE A CANADIAN DAYS COORDINATOR BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION FOR HIRING TO BE RECEIVED FROM THE CANADIAN DAYS COMMITTEE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CONSTRUCTION Fahey reported that a subcommittee consisting of the MANAGEMENT City Administrator, Building Inspector, himself and another Council Member will meet to review the Page 25
