MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />May 23, 1990 <br />Collova reported that the Building Inspector is <br />requiring easements along the property lines, and the <br />property owner will grant these. Aowever, the previous <br />owner requested that he relate the history of the ditch <br />change. <br />PIONEER Scalze reported that the City has received bids for <br />PARK SITE Pioneer Park site improvements, which include <br />IMPROVEMENTS construction of tennis courts, basketball court, <br />bridge, ballfield fencing, players' benches, sodding <br />between ballfields, etc. The low bid was received from <br />Buck Blacktop in the amount of $117,090.26, which is <br />under estimate. These improvements were budgeted for. <br />The Park Commission has recommended that this low bid <br />be awarded pending satisfactory reference checks. <br />The Administrator reported that references have proved <br />to be adequate. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-260 - ACCEPTING AND AWARDING THE <br />LOW BID OF BUCK BLACKTOP IN THE AMOUNT OF $117,090.26 <br />FOR PIONEER PARK SITE IMPROVEMENTS PAASE II <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CELEBRATE Scalze reported that the Park Commission has <br />MN - LITTLE recommended that the Council call for bids for <br />CANADA ROAD lighting, banner, and landscaping improvements planned <br />IMPROVEMENTS on Little Canada Road as part of the Celebrate MN 1990 <br /> grant program. The City has budgeted for these <br /> improvements. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br /> moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-261 - AUTHORIZING THE PARK <br /> CONSULTANT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR LIGHTING, BANNER <br /> AND LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS ALONG LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br /> IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE CELEBRATE MN 1990 GRANT PROGRAM <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Page 19 <br />
