MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />May 23, 1990 <br />THUNDER BAY Scalze reported that the Park Commission has <br />TRAIL recommended that the Council call for bids for the <br />IMPROVEMENT extension of the trail in Thunder Bay Park between <br />Arcade and Greenbrier Streets. Scalze noted that this <br />improvement was not included in the 1990 Budget, <br />however, there have been requests from a number of <br />residents for the improvement. The Park Commission <br />feels that bids should be obtained at this time to <br />determine the cost of the improvement. By the time the <br />costs are known, the Park Commission will know if there <br />are excess funds available for this improvement. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-262 - AUTHORIZING THE PARK <br />CONSULTANT TO CALL FOR BIDS FOR TRAIL IMPROVEMENT IN <br />TAUNDER BAY PARK BETWEEN GREENBRIER AND ARCADE STREET5 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Collova, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PIONEER Scalze reviewed the Park Commission's recommendation <br />PARK REC to approve the request of RVK Architect for additional <br />BUILDING - architect fees in conjunction with the Pioneer Park <br />ARCHITECT recreation building. The recommendation is based on <br />FEES the fact that the size of the building was increased <br /> during the process. Scalze pointed out that the <br /> architect is still responsible for inspection of the <br /> building as it is constructed, and recommended that <br /> payment of the additional fees be withheld until the <br /> project is complete. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br /> moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-263 - AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF <br /> ADDITIONAL ARCAITECT FEES IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,267.00 TO <br /> RVK ARCHITECTS FOR THE PIONEER PARK RECREATION BUILDING <br /> PROJECT, WITHHOLDING THE PAYMENT OF THOSE ADDITIONAL <br /> FEES UNTIL THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (o). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Page 20 <br />
