MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />May 23, 1990 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Scalze, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the followinq resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-253 - CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR JUNE 27, 1990 TO CONSIDER MAKING CONVENIENCE STORES <br />A CONDITIONAL USE IN A B-1 ZONING DISTRICT AND <br />DECLARING A MORATORIUM ON ANY DEVELOPMENT IN B-1 <br />DISTRICTS FOR A PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED SIX MONTHS OR <br />UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE COUNCIL HAS ACTED ON THIS IS5UE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, Collova, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Council discussed further the situation with the <br />temporary sign at the Haram property and requested that <br />the City Administrator and Building Official take the <br />appropriate steps to address the situation. <br />SIGN Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider an <br />ORDINANCE amendment to the City's Sign Ordinance regulating <br />AMENDMENT number and location of free-standing signs. <br />The City Planner reported that he has not received all <br />the responses to the survey he is doing on this <br />subject, therefore, he recommended that the matter be <br />tabled. The Planning Commission tabled this matter at <br />their last meeting. <br />There was no one presenting wishing to comment on this <br />matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Scalze, the public <br />hearing was closed. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-5-254 - TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE REGULATING <br />NUMBER AND LOCATION OF FREE-STANDING SIGNS UNTIL THE <br />JUNE 27, 1990 COUNCIL MEETING <br />Page 7 <br />
