MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 27, 1990
The City Administrator pointed out that St. Jude's
dedicated 30 feet of road right-of-way for Jackson
Street, and the easement agreement states that the
right-of-way is a part of the buffer zone.
Borg pointed out that this is the only area where there
are residential homes immediately across from St.
Jude's.
Fahey stated that the City cannot request St. Jude's to
move their buffer zone. Fahey pointed out that St.
Jude's didn't need Jackson Street in the first place,
and St. Jude's made sure the location of the road
easement within the buffer zone was addressed in the
easement agreement.
Borg was concerned that when the leaves are off the
trees, the St. Jude's development and parking lot would
be visible from his property.
Collova felt that the property owners were fortunate to
have a neighbor like St. Jude's as well as to have a 70
foot buffer zone.
Scalze pointed out that Jackson Street does not benefit
St. Jude's as they are not allowed access to it.
Scalze felt it was not typical that a property owner
would dedicate road right-of-way for a street it could
not use.
Fahey suggested that the minutes be researched to
determine if there was any discussion about the road
right-of-way being located within the buffer zone.
Fahey suggested that if the discussion is not clear
about this, that the City may be able to talk with St.
Jude's to see if they are willing to plant some
additional landscaping to screen the residential homes
on Jackson Street.
Scalze felt that if the minutes are clear, that the
City should not make the request of St. Jude's.
LIQUOR Council reviewed the City Administrator's letter dated
LICENSE June 22, 1990 regarding the City's Liquor License
ORDINANCE Ordinance and bringing the Ordinance into compliance
with State Law.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
Page 21
