MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 27, 1990 <br />newsletter. These quotes are from Fortmeyer & Lang <br />Printers as well as Press Publications. The <br />Administrator reported that currently Press <br />Publications is printing the newsletter as well as <br />providing a person to assist in putting together <br />articles. However, the Administrator reported that the <br />majority of the work involved in putting together the <br />articles is already being done by City staff. It was <br />pointed out that there is currently a deadline of six <br />weeks prior to printing for submission of article"s. If <br />the editorial assistance is eliminated, that deadline <br />would be two weeks. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-6-308 - ACCEPTING THE LOW BID OF <br />FORTMEYER & LANG PRINTERS FOR PRINTING OF THE CITY'S <br />NEWSLETTER ON A QUARTERLY BASIS, AND APPROVING THE <br />COORDINATION OF THE PUBLICATION BY THE CITY STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Blesener, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Administrator asked if anyone from the Council was <br />interested in working on the editorial staff. <br />The Mayor indicated that he would be willing to serve <br />on the editorial staff. <br />POLICE Council reviewed the report of the City Administrator <br />PROTECTION dated June 22, 1990 outlining the recommendations of <br />COSTS the committee to continue to contract for police <br />protection services with the Ramsey County Sheriff's <br />Department. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-6-309 - ACCEPTING THE RECOMMENDATIONS <br />OF THE STUDY COMMITTEE TO CONTINUE TO CONTRACT FOR <br />POLICE PROTECTION SERVICES WITH THE RAMSEY COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey, LaValle. <br />Nays (0).
