MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 27, 1990
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90-6-296 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR INSTALLATION OF 1,000 GALLON
PROPANE STORAGE TANK, PUMP METER AND HOSE AT 300 LITTLE
CANADA ROAD AS SUBMITTED BY M-V GAS COMPANY SUBJECT TO
COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF TAE CITY PLANNER
AS CONTAINED IN HIS REPORT DATED JUNE 8, 1990 WITH THE
EXCEPTION OF RECOMMENDATION #1 DEALING WITH LANDSCAPING
FROM THE PROPERTY TO THE EAST
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener.
Ayes (4) LaValle, Blesener, Collova, Scalze.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
KUSH The Commission reviewed the application submitted by
PROPERTY Steven Kush, 3033 Arcade Street, for the division of
DIVI5ION his property into three lots. The Planning Commission
recommended approval of this property division.
Collova asked.if there were future plans for the
extension of Leeward Way.
The City Planner replied that it is possible to extend
Leeward Way another 300 feet to the south and connect
it with an extension of Allen Avenue that has not yet
been improved.
Mr. Kush reported that if the property division is
approved, he would like to construct a new house on
Tract A in front of the existing house. The old house
would be removed from the property once the new house
is completed. Kush reported that the existing house is
45 years old and it is economically unfeasible to
improve it so that it meets City Code requirements.
There was no one from the general public present
wishing to comment on this matter.
Collova asked what Kush proposed the setback to be for
the new home on Tract A, pointing out the large
setbacks of the homes adjacent.
Kush replied that his existinq house is about 225 feet
back from the property line. The new house would be
constructed in front of the existing home and would be
forward of the adjacent homes. However, it would line
up with the newer homes in the area.
Page 5
