MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 11, 1990 <br />PETITION FOR <br />VACATION <br />PORTION OF <br />SECOND ST. & <br />ALLEYS F & I <br />Council reviewed the petition received for vacation of <br />portion of Second Street as well as Alleys F and I <br />lying within Block 11, Rice Street Motor Line Addition. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-331 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br />WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 8, 1990, TO CONSIDER THE PETITION FOR <br />VACATION OF A PORTION OF SECOND STREET AS.WELL AS <br />ALLEYS F AND I, LYING WITAIN BLOCK 11, RICE STREET <br />MOTOR LINE ADDITION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Scalze, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />PIONEER PARK Scalze reported that Bill Sanders and the Public Works <br />SEEDING Superintendent met with Lino Lakes Landscaping on the <br />UPDATE reseeding of Pioneer Park. Scalze reviewed the memo <br />submitted by Bill Sanders dated July 11, 1990 outlining <br />recommended steps to be followed to establish a dense <br />and uniform grass cover in the Park. <br />Scalze reported that in conjunction with the reseeding, <br />there are eroded areas that need to be £illed in. <br />Quotes have been obtained from Lino Lakes Landscaping <br />as well as Buck Blacktop for the filling. The low <br />quote was submitted by Lino Lakes Landscaping at a <br />price of $8.40 per cubic yard with a total maximum <br />price of $2,520. There is money in the budget to cover <br />this expenditure. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-332 - ACCEPTING THE QUOTATION OF <br />LINO LAKES LANDSCAPING FOR FILLING OF ERODED AREAS IN <br />PIONEER PARK PRIOR TO RESEEDING OF THE PARK AT A COST <br />OF $8.40 PER CUBIC YARD WITH A TOTAL MAXIMUM PRICE NOT <br />TO EXCEED $2,520.00 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Scalze pointed out that fertilizing the grass is also <br />being recommended. It is recommended that the cost for <br />fertilizing not exceed $1,600. <br />Page 12 <br />
