MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 11, 1990 Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-333 - AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF UP TO $1,600 FOR FERTILIZER FOR PIONEER PARK WITH WTTH DETAILS SUCH AS WHETHER THE CITY OR LINO LAKES LANDSCAPING WILL DO THE WORK AND TYPE OF FERTILIZER TO BE USED DETERMINED AFTER CONSULTATION WITH TAE PUBLIC WORKS SUPERINTENDENT~ PARK CONSULTANT AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CELEBRATE Scalze reviewed the Celebrate MN landscaping MN 1990 improvements developed for the intersection of Little Canada Road and Lakeshore Avenue, as well as Little Canada Road and Centerville Road. Fahey asked if the County had been contacted to determine if there were any long-term plans for the redesign of the.Little Canada Road/Lakeshore intersection. Fahey stated that he was hesitant to go ahead with the landscaping improvements if the intersection would be redesigned within the next 5 to 10 years. The City Administrator reported that the County has reviewed the landscaping plans, but was not sure whether future intersection improvements were discussed. Fahey suggested that Bill Sanders research this issue with the County. Blesener pointed out that the area was resurfaced last year by the County and stated that when the County does a resurfacing project, there are usually no plans for additional improvements in the next 10 to 15 years. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-334 - APPROVING THE CELEBRATE MN LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS ON LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS SUBMITTED CONTINGENT UPON THE PARK CONSULTANT CONFIRMING THAT THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR MAJOR RECONSTRUCTION OF THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD/LAKESHORE AVENUE INTERSECTION IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS Page 13
