MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 11, 1990 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-333 - AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE <br />OF UP TO $1,600 FOR FERTILIZER FOR PIONEER PARK WITH <br />WTTH DETAILS SUCH AS WHETHER THE CITY OR LINO LAKES <br />LANDSCAPING WILL DO THE WORK AND TYPE OF FERTILIZER TO <br />BE USED DETERMINED AFTER CONSULTATION WITH TAE PUBLIC <br />WORKS SUPERINTENDENT~ PARK CONSULTANT AND CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />CELEBRATE Scalze reviewed the Celebrate MN landscaping <br />MN 1990 improvements developed for the intersection of Little <br />Canada Road and Lakeshore Avenue, as well as Little <br />Canada Road and Centerville Road. <br />Fahey asked if the County had been contacted to <br />determine if there were any long-term plans for the <br />redesign of the.Little Canada Road/Lakeshore <br />intersection. Fahey stated that he was hesitant to go <br />ahead with the landscaping improvements if the <br />intersection would be redesigned within the next 5 to <br />10 years. <br />The City Administrator reported that the County has <br />reviewed the landscaping plans, but was not sure <br />whether future intersection improvements were <br />discussed. <br />Fahey suggested that Bill Sanders research this issue <br />with the County. <br />Blesener pointed out that the area was resurfaced last <br />year by the County and stated that when the County does <br />a resurfacing project, there are usually no plans for <br />additional improvements in the next 10 to 15 years. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-334 - APPROVING THE CELEBRATE MN <br />LANDSCAPING IMPROVEMENTS ON LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS <br />SUBMITTED CONTINGENT UPON THE PARK CONSULTANT <br />CONFIRMING THAT THERE ARE NO PLANS FOR MAJOR <br />RECONSTRUCTION OF THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD/LAKESHORE <br />AVENUE INTERSECTION IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS <br />Page 13 <br />
