MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 25, 1990 <br />VENDOR'S The Council reviewed applications for vendor's licenses <br />LICENSE submitted by Jafar Fana and S. M. Javad Feghahati of <br />Big Bird Ice Cream. <br />Mr. Fana reported that the trucks they will be using <br />have been inspected by Ramsey County Health officials. <br />Fana also reported that he has proof of insurance. <br />Mrs. 5calze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-351 - APPROVING THE APPLICATIONS <br />FOR VENDOR'S LICENSES SUBMITTED BY JAFAR FANA AND S. M. <br />JAVAD FEGHAHATI, BIG BIRD ICE CREAM SUBJECT TO THE <br />APPLICANTS MEETING ALL ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Blesener, Fahey, Collova, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />GARDNER Council noted the correspondence contained in their <br />BROS. SIGN agendas from the City Attorney regarding Gardner Bros. <br />sign. <br />MCNAMARA The City Attorney submitted to the Council a letter <br />MATTER regarding the McNamara matter for their information. <br />The Attorney reported that he will keep the Council <br />updated as new information is available. <br />THUNDER BAY The City Engineer reviewed his report dated July 9, <br />DRAINAGE 1990 regarding Thunder Bay drainage easements. The <br />Engineer pointed out his recommendation that more study <br />is needed in this area. <br />Scalze asked who would be responsible for the cost of <br />drainage improvements in the Thunder Bay area. Scalze <br />pointed out that the drainage situation should have <br />been handled correctly in the first place. Scalze <br />referred to the Engineer's recommendation for piping, <br />pointing out that the Council was previously informed <br />that the area was too flat for a pipe. Scalze asked <br />why the developers were not required to install the <br />pipinq. <br />The Engineer repor£ed that part of the problem was that <br />the lots were developed individually. There are still <br />a few vacant lots in the area. The Engineer questioned <br />Page 23 <br />
