MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JULY 25, 1990
non-conforming situation. Fahey questioned what the
City would want to allow something that is substandard.
Fahey also pointed out that if the City allows the
Stewart property division without improved road
frontage, it will be faced with similar requests.
Blesener suggested that the matter be tabled until the
City Engineer can put together some cost estimates for
the road. Once the estimates are available, the
applicant can decide whether he wants to proceed with
the property division.
The Engineer indicated that he will put cost estimates
together, and suggested surfacing of the cul-de-sac in
granular material rather than blacktop.
Scalze pointed out that there must be a turn around for
emergency vehicles, and the City must be able to
maintain the cul-de-sac area.
There was no one from the general public wishing to
comment further on this matter.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90-7-341 - TABLING ACTION ON THE STEWART
REQUEST FOR PROPERTY DIVISION AND VARIANCE FROM THE
CODE REQUIREMENT OF IMPROVED ROAD FRONTAGE UNTIL THE
AUGUST 8, 1990 COUNCIL MEETING IN ORDER TO GIVE THE
CITY ENGINEER AN OPPORTUNITY TO PUT TOGETHER COST
ESTIMATES FOR STREET IMPROVEMENT
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, Fahey.
Nays (0).
Resolution declared adopted.
REZONING OF Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the
NEW FIRE rezoning of property from B-3 to Public to accommodate
STATION SITE a new fire station.
