MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 8, 1990 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-8-372 - APPROVING AN PRELIMINARY <br />EXCAVATION PERMIT FOR RON PALMEN FOR THE BACK PORTION <br />OF THE SWANSON PROPERTY SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE <br />BUILDING INSPECTOR AND CITY ENGINEER AS TO THE <br />SPECIFICS AND SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF ALL REQUIRED <br />PERMITS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Blesener, Collova, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (o). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that cost estimates are <br />being put together for storm sewer improvement on <br />Little Canada Road, and the developer of the Swanson <br />property will be contacted about cost participation. <br />SPEEDY Council reviewed the application for vendor's license <br />MARKET - submitted by Speedy Market so that they can have an <br />VENDOR'S outdoor cart selling food during Canadian Days. <br />LICENSE <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-8-373 - APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR <br />VENDOR'S LICENSE FOR SPEEDY MARKET FOR OUTDOOR SALES <br />DURING THE CANADIAN DAYS CELEBRATION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, LaValle, Collova, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />HAZMAT The City Attorney reported that he has not yet received <br />CONTRACT all the information from the City of St. Paul on the <br />Hazmat contract. Therefore, discussion of this item <br />was postponed. <br />MCNAMARA The City Attorney requested a closed session following <br />MATTER the meeting to discuss the McNamara litigation. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-8-374 - CALLING FOR A CLOSED SESSION <br />FOLLOWING THE MEETING TO DISCUSS PENDING LITIGATION <br />Page 21 <br />
