MINUTES CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 12, 1990 RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-416 - AUTHORIZING THE USE OF CARLEY-TORGERSON FOR CONTINUED SURVEY WORK ON THE NEW FIRE STATION AND CITY CENTER EXPANSION PROJECTS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Fahey. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Council discussed having groundbreaking ceremonies for each of the projects. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fire Station was set for Wednesday, October 3rd, at 5 P.M., and the ceremony for the City Center expansion was set for Wednesday, October lOth, at 5 P.M. The City Administrator reported that there will be a pre-construction conference on these projects at the City Center on Monday, September 17th, at 10 A.M. The Administrator asked to confirm the Council's desire for retaining existing trees at the new Fire Station site that are located along the Water Works bank. The Administrator reported that it was his understanding that these trees were to be retained except for a few that need to be removed for installation of the retaining wall. Council agreed that as many trees as possible should be retained. COUNTRY DR. Council reviewed the City Administrator's report dated IMPROVEMENT September 7, 1990 recommending approval of the proposal ENGINEERING from Bonestroo & Associates regarding Country Drive COSTS Improvement engineering costs. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-417 - APPROVING THE PROPOSAL SUBMITTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER REGARDING COUNTRY DRIVE IMPROVEMENT COSTS AS CONTAINED IN THEIR REPORT DATED AUGU5T 28, 1990 AND AS RECOMMENDED BY TI~IE CITY ADMINISTRATOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
