MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 12, 1990 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-416 - AUTHORIZING THE USE OF <br />CARLEY-TORGERSON FOR CONTINUED SURVEY WORK ON THE NEW <br />FIRE STATION AND CITY CENTER EXPANSION PROJECTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Council discussed having groundbreaking ceremonies for <br />each of the projects. The groundbreaking ceremony for <br />the new Fire Station was set for Wednesday, October <br />3rd, at 5 P.M., and the ceremony for the City Center <br />expansion was set for Wednesday, October lOth, at 5 <br />P.M. <br />The City Administrator reported that there will be a <br />pre-construction conference on these projects at the <br />City Center on Monday, September 17th, at 10 A.M. <br />The Administrator asked to confirm the Council's desire <br />for retaining existing trees at the new Fire Station <br />site that are located along the Water Works bank. The <br />Administrator reported that it was his understanding <br />that these trees were to be retained except for a few <br />that need to be removed for installation of the <br />retaining wall. <br />Council agreed that as many trees as possible should be <br />retained. <br />COUNTRY DR. Council reviewed the City Administrator's report dated <br />IMPROVEMENT September 7, 1990 recommending approval of the proposal <br />ENGINEERING from Bonestroo & Associates regarding Country Drive <br />COSTS Improvement engineering costs. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-417 - APPROVING THE PROPOSAL <br />SUBMITTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER REGARDING COUNTRY DRIVE <br />IMPROVEMENT COSTS AS CONTAINED IN THEIR REPORT DATED <br />AUGU5T 28, 1990 AND AS RECOMMENDED BY TI~IE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Blesener, Scalze, Collova, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />Page 8 <br />
