MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 26, 1990
stated that he would incur $6,000 to $8,000 in
assessments because of the project. Moser did not
believe it appropriate that 32 property owners will
incur these kinds of expenses because someone else
wants to develop their property.
Scalze suggested that some other alternatives could be
looked at for Vanderbie so that total reconstruction
would not be necessary, thus reducing improvement
costs.
The City Administrator pointed out that the
improvements being discussed for Al1en Avenue and
Vanderbie could happen within the next few years
irrespective of the Costa development.
Vern Peterson, 2857 Vanderbie, stated that he heard the
City Engineer say that Vanderbie was good for another
five years, and that construction traffic could damage
the road so that reconstruction was needed sooner.
Peterson stated that the residents along Vanderbie
would like the road to last as long as possible.
Peterson suggested that perhaps the Costa development
should be delayed until Vanderbie was ready for
reconstruction.
