MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 1990 <br />Collova sugqested that the City's Public Works <br />Superintendent could contact the County about the <br />plugged culvert. <br />Lovell asked if the Engineer could look at the west end <br />of the pond as she believed that portion of the bank <br />should be raised. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0. 90-9-437 - AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO <br />CONTINUE ITS STUDY OF THE SLEEPY HOLLOW DRAINAGE <br />MATTER~ INVOLVING THE CITY ENGINEER AS DETERMINED <br />NECESSARY, AND REQUESTING THAT STAFF REPORT TO THE <br />COUNCIL ON THIS MATTER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Blesener, Scalze, LaValle, Collova. <br />Nays (O). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Attorney reported that in his review of the <br />matter, the ditch area was never involved in the 1981 <br />improvement project at Sleepy Hollow. The City has no <br />easements over this ditch area. Also, the existing <br />ditch has been in place for 30 or 40 years and may have <br />been constructed by the County along with any storm <br />sewer pipe. The Attorney stated that from his review <br />it does not appear that the problem is a City one, nor <br />one that was created by the City. <br />COUNTRY DR. The City Engineer submitted a report dated September <br />BIDS 25, 1990 outlining the bids received for the Country <br />Drive improvement project. The low bid was received <br />from F. M. Frattalone, Inc. in the amount of <br />$288,817.90. Fall construction of the project is <br />anticipated. The Engineer recommended accepting the <br />low bid of F. M. Frattalone,. Inc. subject to City <br />acquisition of necessary easements and permits. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-438 - ACCEPTING AND AWARDING THE <br />LOW BID OF F. M. FRATTALONE, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$288,817.90 FOR THE COUNTRY DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />PENDING CITY ACQUISITION OF THE NECESSARY EASEMENTS AND <br />PERMITS <br />Page 28 <br />
