MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 26, 1990
designation.
Gene Curwick, Sunrise Drive, asked what the elevation
of the Sunrise Drive cul-de-sac extension would be in
relation to the slope of his yard. Curwick also asked
about setback to the road.
The City Planner replied that the setback appears to be
close to the 30 feet as required by City Code. The
Planner pointed out that the road easement existed
prior to construction of the Sunrise Drive homes, and
the homes were placed with that road right-of-way in
mind.
Howe reported that road elevation will be established
by his engineer, and that elevation has not been set as
yet. Howe reported that he will work with the existinq
property owners to the best of his ability to ensure
that their lawns are re-established satisfactorily.
Scalze pointed out that these issues would be addressed
in the subdivision process.
Kuhnmuench pointed out that the homes along the entire
west side of Sunrise Drive have a 25 foot setback from
the road. This variance was granted due to the
elevations at the west end of these lots.
Sharon Timmons asked that the City require the house
proposed next to Outlot B to be setback as if a street
will be improved alongside it in the future.
Blesener and Scalze agreed.
There was no one else from the general public wishing
to comment on this matter.
Scalze noted that this proposal will need to be
reviewed by the Park Commission for a recommendation as
to park charges.
Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 90-9-431 - APPROVING THE CONCEPT OF THE
FREDRICKSHAVEN PLAT AS PRESENTED WHICH INCLUDES TAE
EXTENSION OF THE SUNRISE DRIVE CUL-DE-SAC WITH FIVE
SINGLE-FAMILY LOTS, ONE OF WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE
SCHLETTY HOUSE~ WITH THE ELIMINATION OF THE TWIN HOMES
AS INITIALLY PROPOSED AND SUBSTITUTING AN OUTLOT TO BE
DEVELOPED IN THE FUTURE AS SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES, AND
REQUIRING THE DESIGNATION OF A ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY TO
Page 7
