MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 24, 1990 <br />ADULT BOOK Fahey reported that he and the City Attorney have <br />STORES discussed the proposed ordinance regulating adult book <br />stores, and the Attorney would like the opportunity to <br />review recent cases prior to the Council's acting on <br />this ordinance. <br />Blesener stated that in his review of the proposed <br />ordinance, he was concerned that the 300 feet distance <br />requirement was inadequate, and also felt that this <br />distance requirement should pertain to listed uses as <br />they may be located in adjacent cities. Blesener <br />stated that he would prefer to see a 500 foot minimum <br />distance incorporated into the ordinance and to see the <br />minimum distance apply regardless of city boundaries. <br />Fahey stated that the matter would be tabled pending <br />further study by the City Attorney. <br />PIONEER PARK Council reviewed the <br />CHANGE- recommendation dated <br />ORDERS Park change-orders. <br />City Administrator's <br />October 19, 1990 regarding Pioneer <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-10-494 - APPROVING THE PIONEER PARK <br />CHANGE-ORDERS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF CHANGE-ORDERS F AND <br />H AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR IN HIS MEMO <br />DATED OCTOBER 19, 1990 SUBJECT TO A DECISION ON FUNDING <br />OF CHANGE-ORDERS C, D, AND G TO BE MADE BY THE <br />RECREATION ASSOCIATION AT THEIR NOVEMBER MEETING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Collova, Blesener, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />ENGINEERING The City Administrator reviewed his recommendation <br />CONTRACT dated October 18, 1990 regarding the engineering <br />AMENDMENT contract amendment as requested by Bonestroo & <br />Associates. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and <br />moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-10-495 - APPROVING THE ENGINEERING <br />CONTRACT AMENDMENT AS REQUESTED BY BONESTR00 & <br />ASSOCIATES BASED ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR DATED OCTOBER 18, 1990 AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE <br />CONTRACT AMENDMENT ON BAHALF OF THE CITY <br />Page 19 <br />
